Originally when we started coming to TOM we stayed at the Eagles Crest which was quite nice. Since then we end up staying at the Courtyard next to the Detroit Metro where we fly into. Its very nice and accommodating.

Hello to all.
I am new to this so please bear with me.
Just wondering if there is any information available on the 2011 Thunder Over Michigan Airshow? I understand its a fair way off and information is still pouring in for the 2010 show. Just that I am from Australia and trying to organise a trip and would love to see some WWII aircraft (Me-109, Me-262, FW-190, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-38 Lightning, Spitfire, Mustang, Hurricane, etc.) if possible in 2011 at the TOM show. Would there be any chance of seeing B-17s?
As I am in Australia I am unfortunately I am unable to attend this year, but the line up looks fantastic and checks all the boxes on what I would love to see.
I read a while ago that perhaps the theme for 2011 may be Naval Aviation to coincide with the Anniversary. Any more updates since then?
If this is indeed the theme, would that mean as the focus would be on Naval aircraft, no other Warbird planes such as the ME-109, Mustang, Hurricane, etc. would attend?
Any information would be greatly appreciated, as would love to see these planes in action.
I understand the theme changes each year, but are similar aircraft shown each year or completely different ones?
If there is no more information available at this time, if any came available it would be much appreciated if you could let me know.
Thank you very much for your time.
Any help much appreciated.

The Blue Angels will be back in 2011. You'll see at least one B-17 since YAM owns Yankee Lady, they usually have more than one at the show though. Jack Roush has both of his Mustangs at the show every year. Though the theme changes there are several aircraft that you are pretty much guaranteed to see at the show year after year.

The aircraft list has been updated on the website, the F-18F Super Hornet East Demo Team was added along with the new B-17's that Mike posted here.

Hello Peter28,
Welcome to the zoo.
Why won't you be here for the 2010 show? There are flights everyday and the on board GPS knows the way to the US.

Mudge the friendly :D

Let's hope that Thunderbird, Chuckie, and one CA Fort can make it for double-digits!

I'd be happy to bring my B-17, but it's 1/48th scale (they don't make a 1/18th one yet!).

I thought I remember reading somewhere Fuddy Duddy flew quite often during the past year.

We are currently working on some military flybys but it will be a while before we have anything confirmed.
