I used to live in my hangar at Chino... Nice and quiet actually, and why pay hangar rent AND apartment rent????? Not a lot of good dating opportunities though.

I did it.

I live in a hangar; I have three airplanes just outside my door, while my PT-19 sits in my kitchen / living room.

A few steps out to the grass runway, and when the weather is nice (not always in Texas) and the light is just, oh-so-perfect, makes it for an unforgettable moment. Of course airplanes making high speed passes over our runway on a regular basis, is the icing on the cake.

Saludos,

Tulio

I lived under the 3 wire, that sucked. I also live under #2 Cat. That also sucked.

Hmmm hanger cookouts and Hanger Bums, That sounds much better.

Well, there are 3 wires nearby my hangar, but those carry electricity . . .

as for Cat#2, it is a tabby; I could describe cats from #1 to #40 (no kidding) because my neighbor keeps feeding them, and every few weeks there is a new squadron in basic training, to produce more kittens.

Saludos,

Tulio

Sorry to hear that Scott!

I assume that you will be looking out of the New England area? That would stink having you leave us up here in Warbird purgatory. :(

I think last July Scott mentioned he would move anywhere with Calfornia and Florida being on top of the list. Is that still the case Scott?

Give us a brief breakdown of your work background and what you are looking for. The networking starts here. I know of at least one person in the US that I think works in your field.

I have a room waiting for you at my hangar in Chino! All you have to do for the rent is a little free labor...

It has a phone jack, not sure if cable is available though.

Thanks BW, I've gotten the costs down to about $80 a month and in general the advertisement revenue is sufficient to cover it most month.

Which is good because they moved up my termination date to next Friday. No severance of course :(

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do and I'll be updating my resume shortly. I might try and be a hanger rat for awhile or goto school. What I really need is a Paul Allen type to give me a $30K a year grant to run the site :)

Scott. Come out to California. You'll like it here. There's a zillion and a half warbirds, and no New England winters.
