cold war era usaf strategic air command crews had some well deserved benefits / perks that went along with the job regarding 24 hour alert flights, or on 24 hour scramble status. regardless of rank they got much more than mission whiskey when their mission or duty was completed. the crews were privy to full body massage sessions, steam room / sauna / whirlpool therapy to alleviate the stress, monotiny, & fatigue that came with the duty. obviously their efforts were most appreciated & the perks were not just reserved for the generals & brass.

I think they make a mention of this in Strategic Air Command. You never see it but I think it is talked about

Some of the corporate drivers get the same treatment, but what happens on the road, stays on the road...
