Back in the early 70s as a young school aged fella, I was walking home from school one day doing what 13 year old boys, checking out the garbage put out along the street. Sitting on top of a garbage can was a small envelope with what was clearly photos inside. Well, being 13 you can imagine what I was thinking. I opened the envelope and found six WWII photos of various aircraft.
Over the next little while I will be posting these pics. I took digital pics of the pics as I do not have a scanner and I am turning over whatever info I have on the aircraft in the hopes that the experts here can tell me a little bit more about the photos.
The first of these pics shows Bristol Beaufighter RD687 parked at an airfield that based on the looks of the buildings in the background will be somewhere in England. Thats all I can tell you. On the original photo the serial number is quite readable so I am sure of that much. Outside of that I would appreciate any help in filling in some of the blanks if at all possible.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff
