Fine aircraft, yes, but, may I ask a question : there are hundreds if not thousands of authentic AND pretty finishes possible for an aircraft like the T-6. So, why are almost all the T-6's painted like some Pipers or Cessnas with just some approximative military markings ? For instance, if I would like to make a quality walkaround for a T-6 book, I would simply not know where to find a T-6 looking authentic.

Chuck,

Thanks for updating the website. That wing looks incredible. The judges should have deducted points though. I doubt in the day there were any that came out of the factory that smooth 8)

I found a good project candidate for you! I'll post pictures sometime this afternoon.

So you have finished this amazing restoration and it is now available to "us" on Courtesy's website? Isn't that kind of hard to do after all that sweat & love? Man, I'd want to keep it and play for some time.

Can you tell us what the next jewel will be?

That is a good looking SNJ!

Are there any others around with the tailhook for carrier training?

A few SNJ-5C still have the hook setup installed with the TW guard. Some SNJ-5C wonnabes have a tailhook installed for show.

Anyone have any historic photos of SNJs in the Dark Sea Blue? I've seen a couple in tri-color, but not DSB.

It looks really nice restored as such.

Perhaps not dark enough or blue enough, but pretty!
