Lowering L/H Fuel tank.

Close up of original rubber hose. I was told long ago that this is similar to self sealing tanks.

Different Mfg for this tank. Label info on top of this tank.

Similar view but opposite side now. No BDK, I didn't reverse the image with photoshop.

Back side view with Down Lock Pin extended under spring load.

Gotta love the Krylon Gold Cad in a Can.

Try changing the units on that Garmin to statute miles. You won't get home any faster, but I guarantee you will feel better when you look at it.

Jim sent me a Text.
He has been leaning heavily on the Dylithium Crystals and made it to Raleigh Durham.
He has complained about the 50 gals of fuel used so far. I think I'll try to find a Prius emblem for it.

Jim got up in 3 of his Aircraft this afternoon.
The Spit, The L-4 with his son and the T-6 after the annual.
Some pics from some of the recent items on the P-51 work-

We removed the linings in the fuel tank areas. This is the 1st time they have been removed since the wing was built.

An extra hole added at the factory. Maybe made on a fri.

Balsa wood fillers around fuel boost pump.

Original markings.

This is what is left from paint stripping from around 1980.

Details of color and marks on Alum.
