A wish list for Thunder 2011. I am early but   :

How about a vintage jet/jet warbird theme?

Line up could be:

-Both U.S.and Canadian T-33's.
-F-86's.
-Mig 15.
-Mig 17.
-Mig 21
-The F-104 Starfighter team.
-USAF F-4 Demo/Heritage.
-Hawker Hunter
-Vampire.
-A few T-34's and T-28's.
-Magisters.
-T-39 Sabreliner.
-T-37.
-T-38.
-A-4 Skyhawk x2?
-WB-57 from NASA
-A super Guppy.
-B-1 LAncer demo.
-B-52 demo.
-FJ-1 Fury.
-A-3 Skywarrior.

:supz:

It could happen. But I am sure fuel cost would be.....

I know there's a market for an all jet show. The top of the list in the public's eye is the Blue Angles and Thunderbirds so I know many of the usual basic show goers could be interested in a "History through Turbine Power" show.

Thunder could be a viable location but somehow I'd feel a military base would be one of the first prime locations for a show like this.

Either way, sign me up when it happens Nathan! :D

I assume you meant FJ-4B rather than FJ-1 for the Fury. I would add the F-100 and T-2 Buckeye to the list.

Actually I think that U.S. Naval Aviation would be a likely theme for 2011 with the Centennial of U.S. Naval Aviation that year, but a vintage jet warbird theme would be outstanding for some year.

If you're going to do that, then you can't leave out the MiG-23 (there's at least 2 in the US flying with another close to being ready).

I would love to see an all-helicopter show, but then you get into problems since helos are harder to move long distances. :(

That sure seems like a lot of noise for Thunder.
