Congrats I think.

I consider my discharge date 10/10, I went on 40 days of leave.

Were you as happy as I was on that day? Looking back it was a bitter sweet day.

Mudge, was KP at Valley Forge as bad as I heard?

Tue Oct 20, 2009 1:01 pm

OK troops...time for some answers.
Sgt. Hawk...Contrary to how I look in most of my pictures, I WAS NOT at Valley Forge.
DanK...I was only 13 in 1861 so I had to lie about my age. Told 'em I was 14.
Tim...Yes, very happy. Although memory only holds on to the good parts (mostly).
DJango...Joined Oct 19, 1955
Holedigger...I have a (well deserved) Hot Air commendation ribbon, thank you.

Mudge the still smiling :D

Overlapped my dad's service, he got out of the AF in '59 as a S/Sgt IIRC.
