Yeah, I think you're right, Zane. Dang it. Even though my days of working on it are done, it sure would be nice to see some interior photos of the B-24A tailgunner's section...or something like it that Consolidated built. I'm curious just how close I got it on Ol' 927.

The "decal" as such is the logo for Naval Air Transport Service (NATS). The verbiage to the left says "Contract Operation" as many of the tranport variants were operated by Pan American Airways. Some carried the PanAm logo on the nose as well.

1st, as a 5 year poster.... a message to judge dred scott or the mod squad.... i'm sick of logging in every danged time!! i swipe my security card through every secret entrance 
.... now the post. i owned a coronado oil quantity gauge E -109 -4 made by liquidometer corp., 4 indicators, 1 for each engine. it was a gem & i let it go for 75 bucks!! ahh.. kids, parents & college!!

That looks almost identical to the back "door" on a C-87. I'm guessing this Wiki photo is of a transport version--the combat version had a standard Consolidated tail turret like a B-24D. The bow turret was kind of like an Erco and they had a funky looking mid-upper turret.
