Unfortunately Pat Brophy has since passed. I had the honor of meeting him and hearing first hand the story.
I had the honor also of helping restore and fly in the Lancaster and am one of the engineers (volunteers) able to sign the maintenance on some of the museum aircraft.
Volunteering is a great way to keep these pieces of history flying for future generations!

What was his connection to the the former Penhold, Alberta Air Force base? They had named their living quarters Mynarski Park.
Does anyone have more info on the Penhold base? My grandfather served there for quite some time.
