The F-4J was to be struck down to the hanger bay. It was hooked to the mule via a towbar and backed onto the elevator.
The elevator was lowered without the mule being unhooked causing it to rocket up it a nice arc and come crashing down on the F-4  :?
There was much screaming involved from GOD ie Air Boss and a few others.
It sat out the rest of the cruise.
