Some great pics there! Gotta just love the paint on some of those birds! Authentic Warpaint or zany color splashes, some very nice jobs there! That gaggle of T-6's has got to have had a great sound! Growling around the pylons!

And Dreadnaught pulling some G's with 4,000 ish pounds of engine and prop, tugging on the front of that airframe, wow. I guess some of the pulling forces kinda balance it out some though.

Great shots, Chris!

I never made it off the airport so most of mine will be planform view from underneath, which in the case of Rare Bear isn't all that bad. Has there ever been a better paint scheme applied to a pylon racer?

Image

I expect to see more of this "Grandstand View" paint in years to come.

I have a few more, including some of the Blues:

and some other general interest:

I still need to sort, crop and upload to Photobucket, but will stick them here soon if no one minds.

Later;

I'm probably the minority vote but I can't stand it and like the older schemes much better.
It looks like some computer geek dreamed it up in his basement:!: :hide: :hide: :pirate :pirate

It does look a hell of a lot better than the paint by numbers crap it had on it two years ago though.

I kinda liked it when it was white/ purple with a bear on the tail.

Well, can't please everyone I guess. I loved the way it looked going by in a steep bank, lit by the sun. Sort of a salute to the fans, as you could read it with the naked eye. Kinda limits them to a counter clockwise race pattern, though :)

I thought Riff Raff's makeover was long overdue as well.

Nice stuff Chris and Garbs. I never got a chance to see the belly view on Rare Bear, that actually looks better than the top side IMHO.
