I'm also glad to see the news that L-049 N9412H is safe for now in New Jersey. Don't expect them to scrap the plane when they've just spent money on a repaint...

Neat pictures! Looks like another trip to Seattle to visit the relatives will be in order!
Quick question--were the inner wings de-mated from the fuselage at production breaks, or were they cut?

The Connie was supposed to be on dsplay by the Museum Of Flight but is sitting by the Boeing 2-40 plant where it's to be reassembled instead. These are all I could really take w/o getting beat down by Boeing Security.

Cool pix. And it's always good to hear a happy ending. I enjoyed the oversize load moving photos. I work along US 290, the main highway from Houston to the state cap. of Austin and since a disused overpass was dismantled we see a lot of oversized and odd shaped loads come through. I think the only aircraft I've seen are some helos. Recently a real beat up Blackhawk passed by headed towards Hotsun and I've seen a couple of old Hueys but nothing of this magnitude!
