The drooping wing made it thru the year , but I wouldn't bet on Lincolns Birthday seeing it still attached.

Pretty sad... We pass by it every Sunday on the way to our church meeting.
Wish I had a plan for how to get them to donate it to a barn...

Gary I have sent Ryan recent pics to post. (I'm too stupid to do it on my own) Really looking sad, not long for this world.

'Tis quite sad. I always thought it was a nice looking airplane.

Wow! Well, I reckon when the wings fall completely off, it'll be easier to take to the scrap yard, right?

With wood wings, and fabric fuselage, not much to scrap.
There is a newer Bellanca Viking rotting in an open hanger in Abilene if they need an eventual replacement.

Well, the scrap yard and trash heap all mean the same to me. Once an airplane's there, it's gone forever.
There's also a Viking sitting in an open T-hangar in Breckenridge, TX that got damaged in the tornado, that's sitting there rotting away as well. Darn shame, even if they're just ol' clunkers.

When the wings fall off Gary I'll call you, so you can bring the marshmellows and I'll bring the weinees. (Some Franks too)

Gary,
The guy probably will never sell it, those type folks would rather see it turn to dust than give up their 'landmark sign' and he wouldn't be swayed by your pleas to 'save the old girl'.
Years ago (I'm talking 55+ years ago I remember seeing it in the 50's as a kid when the family went to Everett on occasion) in Lynnwood WA. an auto parts store had a BT-13 mounted firewall down on top of the building with the stores name painted across the top of the wings and it was absolutely a collection of rust and rotten rags but the guy wouldn't part with it for any amount of money and I believe it was crushed along with the rest of the building after the store went out of business in the middish 70's.
I fear that even if you did 'score it' you would wind up with the worlds biggest GUILLOWS model and lots of dry rotted fire strarter material-it is sad to watch any airplane die an extended, neglected death in public.
