Here are pictures of the CAF P-82 just a few days before it was stolen by the USAFM. As you can see, the quadrants were not installed. I saw them installed in 1984 when I got to sit in the plane but I didn't take any pictures. I've got a pilot's manual somewhere that shows what you're looking for. If I find it I'll scan it.

While I looked at everything, I was on a short timeline. It is an impressive museum, and well it should be. I had to spend some time measuring the door and the exhibits that have been strategicly placed around the 105 in an obvious attempt to thwart our efforts. But I figure I can snake it out of there, maybe I'll use the Navy towbar, and the USAF tug we got out of the USAF DRMO !
Is this some new news on the 105? Is a famous flying organization finally getting one, or is this in reference to the old 105 deal which went to Evergreen?

Gary does anyone have an idea what happened to the Air Farces instruments and parts out of the P-82? Hopefully they are in secret storage till when the appeal is won. I know not likely, but hoping anyway.

I don't know. I would guess, however, that they are in some of the boxes that are in the crates of parts that went with the airplane.

Doubt it, the F-82 was based on the XP-51F, so the arrangement would probably be quite different. Our library had a copy of a pretty good title devoted to the F-82 series but it disappeared from circulation after I returned it

If you can get Bert Kinzeys book "in detail and scale vol 51(P-51 Vol 2)
There is a couple of pics of the Betty Jo that show the throttle quadrant, not close up but good. In a similar picture of an "H" model it looks like its the same quadrant so if you know what one of those looks like, i.e. Mike Coutches H than you should be set

I'm glad to hear that nothing has been done to the P-82 since it's arrival from Midland. It's my understanding that they promised to not do anything to it until after the appeal, so it's good to hear that they are standing by what they said. I know a lot of people were worried they would take saws to the spars as soon as it got there.
