You should look back at your past post history before you say something like that.

CY and PB don't count.

And why, exactly, do they not count?

How did I know you were thinking of those 2 names?? I must be Kreskin!!
Cy & PB through their post service activities (or antics if you please)
placed themselves on a much higher plateau that the average vet.
That of celebrity and subject to a tab bit more scrutnity. BTW some interesting
(and not flattering) comments on PB by Barrett Tillman in the current edition of Flight Journal.

Questionable ID in who's perception?Whats the diff between the remains of Marinell as pictured in Flypast or the remains of something like Glacier Girl where a lot of the original was deformed by the ice (I'll gladly be corrected if wrong on this)I love all the unique pics you bring us but you also seem vey selective on provenance for different warbirds.Best regards,Pete

Ok, but my point is still that you yourself have disparaged vets in the past on this board, but apparently it's ok to trash talk vets if it's you and you decree them worthy to be attacked.

Gentlemen, this is actually a potentially valid discussion, but let's dial back the heat a bit.

but apparently it's ok to trash talk vets if it's you and you decree them worthy to be attacked.

could be

Why are 330th's comments out of line as opposed to some to the things you've said about PB and CY?

Same question, but less abrasive.

(No, I'm not a mod, but I'm trying to help keep the peace a bit. If folks would rather I zip it and step back, feel free to let me know, and I'll do so.)

Because what I said was true. Sounds arrogant but not really what I intend. That's the basic keyboard communication problem. Read some of the CY posts on this forum! That goes for Marinell also on here and FlyPast. Our good friend Martin Kyburz took a beating there over the Martinell issue Him being correct wasn't even relevent I guess.

I have to agree with Jack on this one. calling a young man who was willing to strap himself into a fighter and go do a job like this is no one to be called a Bozo.

Mistakes and accidents happened and will unfortunately happen. How many well known pilots made mistakes themselves? Do you call them Bozo's as well?

330th should have really thought it out before posting a comment like that.

Wouldn't that have been great if Chuck Yeager and Pappy Boyington could have crossed paths at a photo op in an O-Club bar somewhere?
Jack would be forced to add the photo to his collection!

I would not have to call a pilot who made a 'mistake' a bozo!!

They would call themselves that!!!!!!!!!

Actually.., that is most likely the NICEST thing they would say about themselves.

and by the way, I too was a 'young man' who strapped himself in to do a job.., if I ditched my aircraft.., I would be a BOZO!
