Well, TSA horror stories always seem to involve someone (often a group of someone's) who are unwilling to use their damned heads. That tells me they are being so over trained in an attempt to cover their asses taht they can't look at a simple situation and work out what to do. You see this in the military among rear echelon types: So busy worrying about their own hides taht the warriors pay for their inability to think. Proper training standards, and well thought out goals would make all the difference.

And those goals of course need to be set not by someone after a political goal (looking good for the public) but rather a solid set of goals and responses to need--ie protecting us like they are supposed to be doing.

What I see is a bunch of semi political hacks who have been allowed to run rampant by a congress and two white houses who have had other priorities. And god knows there are plenty of priorities to pay attention to these days. It's not left wing or right wing, but rather pencil pushers who are the problem. I'd say we shoudl be looking at the head of TSA instead of the lower echelons.

I think that there are a few folks here that would do well to stay on point and fight the good fight against this agency with some dignity. Every time you folks get on a rant like this it drives the good folks off the board. We have lost a lot of good members exactly because of this kind of raving idiocy.

I'll say it again. We are here to talk airplanes. The survival of general aviation as we know it may depend on doing this one right.

Loose these silly egos.

Stay on point!
