Except the tripod is an M3 for the .50. Note that the 1919 is just sitting on top of the tripod. There is no pintle to actually secure it to the tripod so you couldn't shoot it that way. There is some kind of homemade pintle on the table, but that wouldn't fit into any GI tripod or vehicle mount. Maybe that was for the SUV mount.

The canvas strap kind of intimates that the gun was being shot from the hip, or else it was just used as a carry handle.

The 1919 also has an early aluminum pistol grip.

How was "The Nuge". I was ambivalent about going, but after my wife saw what the CNN gal did, it was grab some stuff and lets get there. A good time was had by all.

It was great !!!!! I was so pleased with the crowds; we filled up the allotted area around the Alamo and others were sent to a satellite location at the Hemisphere. Despite what the MSM says, SATP boasted between 15,000-20,000 easily.

As I told Ryan privately, when asked about speeches, the sound system left a bit to be desired and I am so short that I could not see the speakers which made it doubly hard to hear them clearly. And this was being pretty close with VIP Access passes. But "the Nuge" was awesome playing and speaking....I was able to hear that.

Lots of interesting people met and talked with; the crowd was very respectful and diverse despite what CNN people may say. Although we were warned not to be baited by "plants", I really didn't see any outward evidence of problems except some people carrying some obvious anti-TEA signs.

All and All a wonderful day !!!!!

Heard you all had a good turn out in SA, I beleive the 20,000 more that the 5,000 the mainstream media would want you to beleive. We had over 500 here in Boerne, which is a bunch for this little old town.

LOL! The police reported it as 16,000 (probably the least biased group). KSAT reported it at 13,000, WOAI said something like 10,000. The Express-News? Well, let's just say I think that it should be painfully obvious to folks not where they are coming from. They reported 5,000 and their commentators slammed the event even as it was going on. Folks, don't believe everything you hear from every "news" source these days!

I was listening to conservative talk radio this AM giving numbers from all over the country and was surprised when Bill Bennett said in little Texas town of Boerne (boy did he murder that pronuncation the first time..he was corrected though) which has 9500 residents there were about 750 at the rally !!!! Goodony'all

I went, here in AZ got pictures , 5000 turned out. Looks like the message is getting through in spite of the propagandists in the idiot box.

To be fair, it sounds like many more people showed up than the organizers were prepared for at just about all of the parties. From what I hear, none of them were professional event organizers. Heck, I couldn't see the speakers and at least you had somebody to sing rock n' roll.

Another thing, I heard of no arrests, no vandalism, no violence and, at least the one I went to, we cleaned up after ourselves. I guess the participants are not skilled protesters either.

Cozmo, you are right about the organizers. My boss and I volunteered and donated bucks locally and everything was going pretty well until some people (????) started changing plans late the night before and the morning of the event. Created some interesting problems and the local grassroots people were definitely overwhelmed by the attendance. But the SATP thrived in spite of all the glitches.

As far as I know we had no violence, arrests etc either. Did have some medical emergencies but the people were attended to fairly quickly. City workers were even handing out free bottled water which surprised me....I expected we would have to pay inflated prices if we could find vendors in the crowds.
