Haven't we run into trouble with threads like this in the past? I don't have a problem with it, but risque nose art posts can ruffle a few feathers.

Ruffled some feathers?! Good grief...the men who flew the planes that carried this nose art risked their lives on every mission they flew. And a very high risk at that. This is history, so if it "ruffles a few feathers", well, get over it, grow up, or don't look. I think the WWII era nose art is fantastic! Even in such hard times as war brings, the art showed that people still had hope, a sense of humor, and defiance, if you will, of what the 40's version of political correctness was.

It's true, that our nose art might be mistaken for IndyJen (but you may want to consult an optometrist if it happens to you), but the discerning reader will quickly realize that it is not her in the picture.

Among her other duties, IndyJen is the Safety Officer out there on the AMHF ramp. (This mainly means that she carps at people who climb up on rickety ladders). This is proof, quick and easy, that it cannot be IndyJen on that torpedo.

I mean, come on--open-toed shoes for torpedo riding? That's a write-up, right there.
