So -- who took this photo of this hangar?
Are you creditting the photographer or at least a link to the site it came from? If not arent you in breach?
I suppose I will humor you tonight. In my research on the "Lbirds" and other topics I have had a subscription to Footnote.com and their collection of photographs from the National Archives, as well as a few other friends who've also been to the NA and taken scans, etc... Similar to Jack and his collection, though mine is FAR weaker than his. I have also gone to the length of talking to the folks there and getting permission for various uses of THEIR scans. They also have some guidelines for normal use.
Occasionally I come across a photo that strikes me as interesting, or noteworthy and bring it out here. Not for kicks, but to try and start a discussion or get commentary. This one happened to be in response to a humorous discussion with Jack.
I do not know the exact photographer, but he's not listed in the NA either - he was working for the gov.
Original caption reads: Dirigible hangar with parking apron in foreground at Karachi Air Base, India. 3 October 1942.
I try to be VERY careful what I post and I dare say most of the old timers here know that.
