F-8E of VF-11 losed a main mount and goes off the angle deck of the FDR but the pilot got out. 8)

That photo gave me flashbacks to being a kid and getting a book on Aircraft carriers. Dug it off the shelf and here are 3 more from that event.

Didn't the pilot wind up landing back on the flight deck and never got wet (except for one medium sized area of his flight suit)
