That T-bird looked pretty sad the first time I remember seeing her. This is the way she looked in 1988.

Wow! That really does look bad. Maybe I will write a letter to the NMUSAF stating that I have a use for it and they will dispatch a team to dispose of it.

Now that's funny and paints about the most accurate picture of the imperial NMUSAF General and the idiotic institutional USAF bias against private and non-profit groups' owning/restoring the obsolete "junk" the Air Force handed over to the smelters 50 years prior.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

You have to remember that the plane is there because someone wanted it, requested it, and promised to take care of it. Now they have little to do with it. I am not sure what the easy answer is for this, but it happens alot.

Which is completely different than a group that has access to a couple million dollars to put one back in the air.

You have no idea who you are talking to on that one man. I am all for taking aircraft like this T-33, and selling them to private owners, or museums for static and flying projects. Some say that if it is going to be static make it out of plastic. I don't agree with that, but I will go this far, if you aren't going to take care of it, and just want a gate gaurd, then get a plastic one.
