I don't think it is. The nose looks too long for the timeframe when the aircraft still had the "original" cockpit greenhouse (which the Lib in that picture clearly has). IIRC from the Ol'927 thread the airplane had a whole new nose section (from aft of the cockpit) swapped on, giving a longer nose but also the later style canopy.

That isn't the CAF airplane, but it is an interesting machine. Notice it still has the early round nacelles. I suspect it is one of the conversions done to several LB-30s after being retired as sub-chasers in the Canal Zone.

I was gonna agree. The window layout is also more reminiscent of the XC-87 than either "Ol' 927" or a standard C-87.

Somebody actually flew a full aerobatic routine in a Ford Tri-Motor back in the '30s. I was in Maurice Hovious' shop a few years ago and he was starting (yet another) Ford Tri-Motor restoration. He said the structure was being beefed up because the owner planned to use it for aerobatics! Not sure whatever became of the project.
