Hallo,

this Sea Fury arrives in France end of summer 2008.

http://francewarbirds.free.fr/avions.html

I know, that there is annother Sea Fury going to France. Mr. Jaquard who sold his Corsair to the USA is the owner.
The Sea Fury is getting an overhaul by an US-Company, but I don't know which Company is doing the job. Has anybody news, a picture or something else from the from the Sea Fury? Who knows which company is doing the job an when will it finished?

A few years ago I had heard the the former McKittrick project with Sanders was sold to Mr. Jacquard.

I think this is it here:

Actually, "Badgad Fury” (ISS20) F-AZXL made it in France in september 2007. It is based in Avignon-Caumont in the good care of Frederic Akary.

Christophe Jacquard is awaiting deliverey of is newly rebuilt (total ground up restoration) Wright powered Sea Fury from the Sanders in may. It will have the famous Sanders wingtip smoke generators.

The delivery is scheduled for may, that sounds very nice. Does anybody know how it will be painted?
I hope, that I will see the maschine on an airshow this year, maybe La Ferte Alais or the german Hahnweide.
The "Bagdad Fury" joined France in September 2007 or 2008? Will it fly on Airshows this year?

F-AZXL arrived in Avignon in september 2007 and was overhauled during the next 6 monthes or so. It has already been showned in airshows, and will agin be displayed this year.
The Jacquard Sea Fury shall be painted in Australian Navy dark blue scheme.

don't be oo surprised if mr jacquard brings his sea fury over to duxford in july 09 as he has always brought 2 aircraft with the exception of this year when he sold his corsair. Don't forget he also has a new build fw190a which is awaiting an air test as well this year!!
