If you are in the Denver area, try Centennial. John Zayac and a couple other T-6's based there.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that from the classroom you go to the T-6. Most were the Fairchilds, Stearman, Ryans, etc. Dad had to go through the BT-13 as well before getting to the T-6.

Gotta tell you though, my time in the Harvard was a real spiritual gas! I will definitely pursue more time there! 8)

Post WWII there was a brief period during which initial USN flight training was accomplished in the SNJ. If I recall correctly the student had 15 hours from first flight to solo. I've spoken with survivors, it was intimidating.

That's my understanding too. When my Dad taught me to fly he did it in the T6. At first I was afraid to do a mag check let alone fly it ....
