It would appear that Geoff Goodall, compiler of the Warbirds Directory, has created a 5th Edition of his work, based on his website which I have come across. The website is at;

I just ordered by copy. I consider this one a must-have.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Well, this is certainly very welcome. The last edition was only available for about 20 minutes, if at all, and quickly became impossible to find.

Interesting, lists F-84 as an aircraft in it.

Yes, I will miss the book also. Some hints that might help. Once you get the CD:
1. Dowload all the PDF Files from CD
2. Print each (takes a few reams of paper)
3. Join YAHOO Aviation Group (NAMAR) as NS. Howard puts out a weekly e mail of N numer changed to warbird types.
4. Post changes to your printed copy weekly. (Try not to get behind cause it is a real bitch if you do)
5. Enjoy.

PS: I have virgin copies of all four editions as I ordered two of each when released. My work copies are not even fit for the junkpile as they are worn out. However with the printed PDF's in notebooks I have been able to keep up with the data. Sent my money off today.
