Warbird Art?

Wed Nov 12, 2008 6:07 pm

Found this image while looking around for something else and found it rather interesting. Anyone else have some strange warbird related art?

The title is "Pet Project"

Found some more warbird related art. I have seen some of these prints in person and they are very nice.

Work by Sorayama

What is it with Corsairs anyway?

I'm still trying to figure out the message of the pic Jesse posted.

The Sorayamas are easy enough. Is this the same Sorayama who did all those airbrushed sexy chromium fembots back in the 80s? The eroticization of machines is hardly less subtle here. Almost makes you wonder how many warbird fans are repressing something ...

This artist, Glen Angus, sadly passed away recently, but his last series of paintings was Warbird related:

And here's a weird one I made to celebrate Halloween. This is a whimsical picture, but A-10 number 666 DID exist and was actually assigned to the Green Demons. It was never very popular and was one of the first to be retired to the boneyard:

Wow, Angus was one heck of an aritst, darn shame.

And I like the Green Demon! Ol'666!
