I hear there's a Soyuz mission in planning to recover the B-32 Dominator currently on the moon... I don't believe it though.

I thought Ascher Ward recovered that airframe by using an old Apollo rocket bought in an intricate deal including C-47s, soyabeans, and other commodities back in the early 90s... :lol: :roll:

Acording to the book "Red Stars' Vol 4, Stirling B.III serial LK615 arrived in Teheran on 1 March 1945 for transfer to the USSR. It was accepted on 5 May 1945 but strangely enough the Russians were not too impressed with this behemouth. According to the book it is rumored that three other Stirlings were delivered to the Russian Naval Air Service.

Time will tell if any remaing components exist.
