This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I too wish all warbirds would be made flying. But thats not going to happen. I wish the USAFM would fly "some" of their aircraft. But that too seems like it will never happen. :x I am not sure why. Some museums are goaled to fly the planes. Some are goaled to keep them static. In a way the latter is a safe bet. But just becasue a plane is made static doesnt mean its safe. Look at the Lone Star museum. Static aircraft can still be destroyed by mother nature. :(

I really hope the MAAM don't change their mind about the P-61 and make it static instead. Maybe I misunderstood something here but some of you guys are stating that the MAAM P-61 might not fly ever now. I hope thats not the case. I dont mind rumors but that is a bit too much of a kick in the gut!

Dont worry, that was all just spawned from the goofs that I mentioned to Jesse. The MAAM still intends to fly their widow.

If anyone wants them to be flyers, then pony up the cash or STFU!

Bingo!

At least this thread is about warbirds.

Has the horse been sufficiently beaten to death yet?

Who has ideas on tracking down the operational history on the Bejiing Black Widow?

Lol...believe me I have!

Yeah, its that simple.

Well, back to the bleachers for me!

Any updates on the MAAM bird or is that totally taboo now?

I wish I had all the money i've spent over the years...I might have had my own P-51 with it!

Keep your chin up. ;)

I have never heard anything to the contrary from the MAAM. As far as I know that has always been, and still is, their intent.

Their was an article about the MAAM P-61 in Aviation History recently and it mentions that it will be a flyer.

Will the USAFM's P-61 ever be a flyer? :P

Thanks man. Just picking. I cant wait to see the MAAM's fly. I live in Pa so its a short drive for me... 8)
