The 2008 WHS event is concluded and a great success. Perfect weather after Ike tore everything up (still plenty of areas in SW OH w/o power as all the local crews and equipment were dispacted to the South and no one left to mind the mint) and a pleasing array of Wacos. Thought some truly cheezy point and shoot pics might be of interest......

Two about as perfect RNF's as exist! NC663Y still has the odd but completely effective mechanical throttle brakes...very unique and surprisingly adaptable.

Here is one FAST Waco! It looks it and it is! A lot of history behind this one....to Guatemala and back, floats wheels and skis. Now it is a beautiful old lady with a -23 Continental.

This S-6 cabin is of interest to this audience. It has an all metalized fuselage! Wood removed and aluminum tubular structure built up then sheeted. A wondefull piece of workmanship as the original "humpback" look was maintained. I believe the was done waaay back by the P26 builder Mayo.

..and of course, all day hot loading ride hopping.....

We must limit politicians to two terms:
one in office and one in jail.

Wayne really didn't coordinate the events for the NWC, Ray Brandly organized the NWC reunion.....after moving from NJ to Mt Vernon he had something snap mentally and went all bizarre. He's the reason for the "stalking" law. I thought he had passed on now. His original cabin , S7 NC17701 went through auction by the U.S. Justice Department and Phil Riter bought it and it has since moved to WI I believe.
This event is the Waco Historical Society in Troy. A different organization altogether....and growing/improving fast! They have their own strip and the museum on the field and have a new addition in the works.
