You know them air force types, equipment's somtimes to small for the job at hand. Hook down, wheels down , rodger ball, fuel 1.8! Joking aside the plane looks to be a later model than doolittles birds with the gun mounts like they are, could it be a marine PBJ being tested for carrier suitability? First picture I have seen of a B-25 coming on to the blunt end of the ship.

it is a Navy H model, BuNo 35277, Catching a wire on the USS ShangriLa
15 Nov 44. This was the photo of the first of many carrier landing tests with the aricraft.
