The Collings Foundation's tour stop at Battle Creek, MI presented an opportunity to get up close for some pictures and take a ride in the B-17 :D

In the UK and Europe signs like these would cause a very large queue of passengers to form .......

That's only about a mile from my house. Naturally, they picked the week I was out of town on vacation to make this year's only stops in Michigan. :x

The bipe is one of the reproductions built by Waco Classic Aircraft. I think it's their deomstrator, as I see it cruising around town from time to time. Looks like the Collings boys were parked in front of Waco's factory/restoration facility.
