Here's some more. Speaking of cool paint schemes that aren't accurate for the type, this I love:

[quote="mustangdriver"]Hey everyone! This was the second year that I went to Oshkosh as a WIX member. It was great. I made new friends like Al Sauer and Rickolosa, and meeting up with my old pals Zack, Jen, Paul, Jaybird,Bill, Lex, Dan, Bary, and everyone else. It just adds alot of fun when you have cool people to share this stuff with. I explained to my friends that came with me that I had to go to a cookout to meet up with a bunch of guys that I met on the internet. I arrived at Zack's to the warm welcome you would expect walking into a cookout full of friends you had known for years. I was there for seconds before Jen had a brownie in one hand, Dan, had a beer in my other, and Bill was trying to get me to swallow an egg. They are that good. After talking warbirds, and and about everything else for a while, it was decided that in the name of WIX that we should attempt a recruiting drive. The nearest group of people just happen to be in a tent full of beer. So off we went.

The WIX Gathering at Zack's is a must.

Then came recruitment time.

...and no one could Photoshop T33driver into the arms of that lovely young lass on the left of this photo? 8) Wow! Does she have "man hands"? Oh wait, I see...nevermind.

Nice pics Rich, especially the dusk shots and the ones against the storm clouds. That's one of the things I like about OSH, the ability to hang around and get more interesting lighting conditions than CAVU at high noon.

Thanks August. It was a good trip, though I did have my "Great Escape" moment, with the search-light on me before I met up with Al. :)

That's one of the best compliments I could get.

Enjoy it!

I'm planning on entering it in next years photo contest.

Thanks. My only gripe about it is it's a little gritty. The longest exposure my camera gets is 15 seconds so I had to adjust the speed resulting in a less sharp image.

Hey Al I too wish to thank you for the photo's. That little camera of yours is pretty good and all you really need is 10-15 seconds for nice night shots like the ones you made especially with all that light you had available.
