Sorry about that. I have so many pics of this SB2C I really didn't bother. One of my teenagers took this pic of her early Monday. As of Tuesday PM she was still parked next to the B-24A on the West ramp.

It's hard for me as in years past I could keep up with my pictures every day but i'm running myself down trying to spend all day in the field, do night security and get these pictures posted. Unless we get a major rain day i'm probably not gonna get to sort through and post as many pictures as i'd like until I get back from Oshkosh (and the Abbotsford Airshow, Aug 8-10). I guess in good news it'll keep entertaining long after the show ends.

Very cool night shot of the T-28s.......cloud & lightening was great! (did you get rain?)
Night security must give you a lot of unique photo opportunities..........plus fatigue!!

Just a couple sprinkles. The radar was showing otherwise but it broke up before it got here.

Night Security has it's perks for sure but it really makes for a long week as I like to look around alot during the day as well. At least it's only a week.

I know it's on the civil side, but does anyone know if any Spartan C-3 aircraft made it to Oshkosh? There was a rumor that one might go, but I haven't heard anyone mention it yet.

Those two aircraft look so authentic, it's scary. Impatient Virgin, on the other hand, looks like it's owned by someone who's more interested in owning a Mustang than commemorating the men who flew them to glory. Well, check out the canopy on Old Crow; that ain't exactly right either.

And as far as the owner just wanting to own a Mustang goes; he's already got a very nice one...

All that being said, I think "Happy Jacks Go Buggy" will be the winner.

I suppose for most this is just a meaningless, crappy pic of Ruff Stuff taxiing back after an AM flight. Probably shouldn't tell here, but for those who know Paul Koskela be sure to ask him about his OSH P-38 encounter on Tuesday.

As I'm sure Hal B will agree, Old Crow is hands down a stunning example of the restorer's art, but yes, that dang "framed" Malcolm Hood throws the visual impression off just a little. Heh heh - that's the first thing I checked when I first saw pics of Impatient Virgin ... whew!

Two chances to depict Kidd Hofer's Salem Representative ... you want to depict an aggressive ace who laid waste and took names ... the "Frank Luke" of WWII? And an attractive overall "Malcolm Hood" paint scheme to boot? No better choice, IMHO.

Heck no - P-38s is a good thang! Brought some mo!

Even though I, too, have drank of the Happy Jack's Kool-Aid ... tastes pretty darn good!

The Kidd should be properly commemorated with an airworthy Malcolm-hooded B model, but then again I'm biased as all he||.

I'm happy for the owner, he's got a very lovely aircraft, but the aircraft itself wouldn't mean squat without the deeds and sacrifices of the men who flew them.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary, do not taunt Happy Fun Ball, professional driver on closed course, contents under pressure, etc.
