Hey guys, how did you all hold out with the earthquake down there in Chino? Heard it was pretty bad down there, up here in ventura it was kinda of bad, so wanted to ensure all you at Chino were good. If any help is needed down there, put out a bullentin, and well get help if you guys need it.

That was strong enough to knock aircraft off jacks... felt one big jolt & then a few waves here near Lancaster.. USGR has it at a 5.8 followed by 3 more at 3.8 & some smaller window rattlers.

They have now downgraded it to a 5.4 quake. It shook the building pretty good here in East L.A. but nothing fell.
I do hope our friends at Chino fared well. It was a strong enough jolt to cause problems with an aircraft on jacks. One of the local news helo pilots did ask the tower if the quake affected operations at Chino and they replied with an emphatic....NO.

Just a jiggle here in Yucca Valley about 85 miles ENE of Chino (which is about 12 miles from Chino Hills, the epicenter), I thought it was one of our little local ones until my cell phone didn't work. Local LA radio isn't hearing much about damage; just strong enough to bump Dr. Laura for the coverage ... Just downgraded to 5.4 from USGS.

Just a small shaker here in Long Beach 45 miles away. Cell phone networks are overloaded all over and the landlines are flaky as well.

We're going to drive out tonight and check for damage. Hopefully, the plane stayed on it's supports and we didn't have too many parts fly off the shelves. I'll give a report later tonight or tomorrow on what we find.

That's hilarious, and quite true!

I guess we felt it down here in San Diego, about 120 miles south, but I did not feel a thing.

That biscuit is probably still going, sliding on all that grease.

Just FYI, I've been in touch with Carl Scholl (Aerotrader, Inc.) and had a friend speak with Steve Hinton...they both came out of the earthquake okay. Carl had a few things fall off the shelf, but no damage to anyone or any airplanes.
