My L-6 was N46141 serial#166. I also had two extra engines and props at one time. On the TDR it is interesting the different sub contractors that built the thing. Anhusar Busch- the fusulage, Wurlitzer-the wings , Singer Sewing machine-the controls. Met an old guy who was one of the engineers on the project that wasn't declassified until the seventies who said it worked like a charm, but Navy politics got in the way.....Carrier Admirals who had just taken control from Battleship Admirals wanted no part of an unmanned weapon no matter how good it worked. Not all of them were Franklin powered, some had Lycs and others had radials. Several were scrapped and flew in Oklahoma but I beleive Pennsacola has got the only survivor as we tryed to find one for years. Maybe some Okies' got one in his barn hidden away, if so I'm a buyer.
Mr Chersky's L-6 is your old bird.
