In response to the person who asked about Wilbur's Purple Heart, there have been no further leads or information and it has not been recovered.

As for the paint on our B-17, I've heard a few possible schemes. Whomever sponsors the work (assuming a large sponsor covering majority of costs) will have a say in the new paint scheme. So....along the silly lines of this thread, if Oscar Meyer wants to sponsor it and paint it like the Weiner Mobile..............I say LET THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cindy,
I've been getting queries for detailed info on Jack Croul's B-17G. I'm told painting is imminent.
Not only is he a very nice man and DFC awardee but also the major benefactor of the bomber. Win-win for everyone.

This was a re-enactment staged at the Cleveland airshow back in the early '90s.

Kevin,
If the Bearlin Airlift bought a weiner mobile you guys could carry it in the C-97 and have an added attraction (either the Frankfurter airlift or a demo of a certain Hollywood star) :P
