Has anyone heard anything about restoration on the Shackleton? Has it started yet?

She was going to enter the lineup of aircraft to be restored...? She needed a repaint and they were going to carefully photograph all the various markings and stencils etc. Just wondered if anything had been done yet since she arrived?

I think it was going in for some paint and general cleanup. James in Tucson, where are you?

I'm right here. We have not started work on the Shack yet. Our restoration department is short a couple of staff right now and we are trying to get the B-36 done. I can't say when it will go in for paint but that is really about all it will need. It is parked where you can easily see it from the public part of the museum so it is more or less on display.

Thanks James. I had a look at the restoration part of the website for PIMA and the work you guys have put into the B36 is amazing. She looks better everyday!
