Ober,

Yes... I was trying to get a slot for the L-5. I really wish I hadn't missed last year as I'd heard a lot of good things about it.

I don't know if a sponsor coming through might help, but it doesn't look good.

Check your PM.

Ryan

Lets figure this out a gallon of gas a year ago was about 2.90 and now about 4.20 lets say an airshow tickets up 5 dollars just for sh** and giggles, couple hotdogs or whatever up 3.00, beer up 1.00 hotel if needed up 20.00 lets say you drive 100 miles so last year it is,based on a veh. that gets ok mileage, 200 miles gas =29.00, hotdog 10.00, beer 5.00, ticket 25.00, hotel 75.00 total$152.00 .This year gas 42.00 hotdog 13.00 beer 6.00,ticket 30.00,hotel 95.00=$186.00- 154.00$=32.00 bucks!! you can say the same #'s for a warbird give or take a few bucks so if that is going to stop anyone, stay home with the dog and build a model....

Not sure what state you live in .... but your numbers seem a bit off in certain areas, but I get your point, I have no dog and no longer build models, just date them now ... haha, so I guess I have no choice but to pay the higher beer & hotdog price, I'll still fly to Reno though ...

What do you think? ...

PS, does China for the Olympics count as getting out there? .... Good friend of mine is going to compete in Beach Volleyball for the US. I have been suckered into going to support him. And paying for all his food .... ugh!!, I'd rather go to Oshkosh and pay for all the drunken WIX people that will be there. ... Then again, maybe not ....

Hellcat I've seen your photographic evidence and they looked like models. The Olympics sound like a blast, but so is Oshkosh--hope to see you there some time. 8)
