This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I believe it was one of these birds that portrayed a Me-109 in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It saw its demise from Sean Connery's umbrella.

what a shame. It goes to show you how the generations of people in general are getting worse. I agree that they should be b**ch slapped severly. When I was living in Denver, I remember some setting fire to the B-52 that was parked out side of the Rocky Mtn. Air Museum.

Being fed feet first into a wood chipper would be about right.

Wow!!! That is a good looking airplane.
It's a shame that one of these has been destroyed in such a manner.
What scoundrels.

This sort of thing has happened before.
When I had an engine failure and made a forced landing in a Yak 52, the local Essex scum smashed it up some more during the following night with a fence post. Instrument panels had to be removed to prevent further trashing before the aircraft could be recovered (it was over the Christmas/New Year holidays).
I was in hospital for 10 days and off flying for seven months.

Now it's just THIS kind of reaction that gives us Warbirders a bad name.
You are putting an object, PROPERTY above human beings! For SHAME!!!
We should try to understand WHY these children feel alienated and compelled to act out their frustrations.
Then we should donate to the appropriate Society that can truly help them get in touch with their anguished feelings.
ALL the while imagining ourselves in a cool mountain pasture with a bubbling brook ambling by. And we can further imagine the sense of inner peace we will feel as we hold the poor mis-understood youth's heads under water until the beautiful sparkling bubbles quit emanating from their nostrils... and they quit struggling and turn blue... and are at one with the universe. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Seriously? And here I thought we were making progress in society because mobs were no longer lynching blacks because they looked at a white girl.

Make it easy on all of us- just push them into a long sewer pipe, and then put a few dozen pounds of black power under it. Light it off and launch the little suckers(You may replace the "S" in that last word if desired...) into orbit..

If it would serve the GREATER GOOD of the WIX Community... so be it!

Anything left unattended in a rural area is fair game for morons. I used to live on a rural highway where any car left on the highway shoulder overnight was guaranteed to have the windows broken out by morning.
The simple pleasures of simple minds...

Man,and I thought you'd see that only in third world countries
Similar situation happened with a honduran BT-13 left unattended at a park.Vandals broke the canopy and the interior. The aircraft is now sitting at the museum waiting for a future restoration.
