Iron Man movie..Airplane in background photo?

Sun Jun 08, 2008 1:12 am

So I finally got around to seeing Iron Man tonight..great flick! I noticed in Tony Stark's office there are a couple of wall-size photos. One is obviously the B-24 assembly line at Willow Run, but the other had me curious. It's a four-engine aircraft overflying a factory during some sort of ceremony..I'm thinking maybe the XB-19 over the Douglas plant in Long Beach. Can anybody confirm?

Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that the sequences where Ironman is being chased by a pair of F-22s was actually filmed using the Planes of Fame's F-86 and MiG-15, then the CGI folks turned them into Raptors for the final movie aequence! That info is per Steve Hinton at the media day before the Chino airshow last month.
