Warbird Information Exchange

Hello all,

Last month at a small maintenance company at Bremgarten, Germany I saw an unmarked, bare metal Cessna O-1 Bird Dog. I was shown a document showing construction number 24539, and was told it had been purchased from the Italian armed forces.

Does anyone have more information about this airframe?

This is actually an ex ALAT (French Army) L-19E. It used to be registered F-GFVD but is awaiting a German registration.
