Well, I'm right there with him...but the "real" type of round engine is what's ruined my hearing (no offense, Brad ). What sucks is that I had some kick-*ss hearing aids until my dogs recently ate them.

Side note- a friend of mine owns one of those American LaFrance crash trucks, just like the one following the P-80 up the street!

As to the fingers in the ears, maybe they'd put a muffler on...

And that "Frontier Saloon" looks like my kinda dive- I can almost see the red leatherette banketts and the old wooden bar...

The J33 is really not that loud........compared to say a T-37A.
Also, note the gear pin flags hanging in the gear bays.
