There was a pretty interesting article in A&S on Buffalo Air a year or so ago. I dont usually keep back issue of that so i cant go back for reference.
Buffalo's PBY, tanker 703, C-FOFI was flown south by WIXer Matt Gunsch a couple of years ago after it was purchased by warbird collector Hans Lauridsen.

I didn't fly it down, I went to Reddeer and did the prepurchase on it. When they flew it down, I was on crutches and not able to move around inside the plane. So I met them here in Phx. Unless things have changed, Hans has yet to get Joe to deregister the plane in Canada, and until then, he is unable to register the PBY in the US.

Matt, I remember your involvement in the C-FOFI deal but I don't remember you being laid up at the time. Yes, it would be a derfinite invonvenience to be on the sticks in a PBY. What did you do to yourself anyway?
