I figure their strategy is to only tour aircraft that they can offer flight training or rides in. As far as I know, there are no other "enemy" planes other than the 262 replica that have full second seat controls.

OMG!!!! That is one sweet Mustang. I can't wait to see it in person. How long will it be out on tour? Besides Rob, who will be piloting that bird around?

The TP-51C will probably be out for all of the major areas on the tour. It should be with the bombers now until at least mid-June. We will see how popular the training flights are, and try to plan some air show appearances in between. I have talked with the guys who do the planning for Thunder Over Michigan, and we will have the aircraft there offering the training flights.

When you say "training flights" do mean actually flight with a CFI that count towards a checkout (or a full checkout for that matter) like "Crazy Horse" or is it a ride with the opportunity to fly a little bit?

All of the pilots in the Mustang program are CFI's. All rides include a full hands on experience and a logbook entry.

OK Rich, I'm waiting for the sketch of exactly how you would make that work! Would the front one slide forward?
