No sin at all Pogo, the S-43 might have been better placed and seen more appreciation in the Vintage Forum,
but its connection to the Spruce Goose definitely qualifies it as Warbird Information worthy of exchange.
You probably performed a great service to the WIX by bringing more attention to the Photo Forum.
I was surprised to learn in Jack's "Querstions" thread that some members didn't have a clue there was
a Photo Forum. As for Jack's "Querstion" thread..I went to get a gallon of milk..I come back and log in, and it's gone!! Sigh!!!

I agree the S-43 is "Heavy Metal" enough for us in here, and certainly interesting enough to be posted regardess.
But strictly speaking this particular
S-43 IS A WARBIRD, as it was impressed by the USAAF during WW2.

Recent article in Air-Britain lists this plane as c/n 4327, built as

In regards to the missing thread of "Jacks Question" I think you will find that the system removes threads when someone is posting a reply or editing their existing post, as this appears to happen quite often from my own experience. Below is a link to its most recent reply.

and thanks again to Pogo for the great pics.
