That is awesome!

Seems like, between VAW-113 and VAW-116, the "Hawkeye Hookers" are really making the best of their respective cruises! And it also seems the rest of the ship's company doesn't mind, either (believe the Captain was in one of -113's videos)!

yep....

'Hookers always make it about that.

The next time the winner of a war is determined by how well you land on a boat, the US Navy is really gonna kick @$$.

Clever video, anyway.

real pilots land planes on boats at night in snow storms!!!! :D :D :D

the captain of that ship is GREAT!

to allow that kind of hooliganism to keep the morale that high is very cool indeed!

:D

just curious about your 'curriculum vitae'

I know what you're talking about but what does it have to do with the fact that I, as many of us here, served (are serving) in the military? We did/do our JOBS. I don't, as you seem to do, consider myself any kind of "hero" for doing MY JOB.

How many traps have I made? Climb down off your pedestal!

Mudge the lowly airman type

you know --- how many combat missions you flew in the Nieuport---how many planes were shot out from under you....how many huns you got....

Alright, ENOUGH!

I agree with the fact that this video is not warbird related!
Dude!, I have never shot, trapped, or cared to argue who has a bigger....

I enjoyed watching it, I really liked the other video with the cat shot filmed from the open rear hatch. There is a place for this stuff, http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... m.php?f=25

krlang the amazed!

How does this NOT have anything to do with warbirds? The E2C is indeed a warbird. The crews that are in these films are crew members releasing stress and boredom. We do the exact same stuff at our place, and we are a civilian medical helicopter outfit.

It's genius. The young men and women in the service today are truly genius.
Bless 'em all!

you missed my subtleties --- neiuport....huns.....its humor!

This is my old squadron VAW116 flying the mighty Hawkeye, I was in Desert Storm with this group onboard the USS Ranger in the Persian Gulf, Mudge unless you've been on a 6-8 month deployment on a carrier working 12 hr shifts it's a good way to break up the daily routine and monantany. a little humor keeps the troops on the up and up, plus this video is sent home to the families which they really love

Amen brother!

How many traps have I made?

More than one and I can't say I liked it :?

BTW this one is the funniest thing I've even seen!!!

Mudge-
I hate to belabor this point as you've been shelled enough. Just keep in mind that 40 years from now this video and thousands more like it will be on whatever succeeds sites like WIX and the guys and gals in them will be on a site that will be the late 21st century version of what Jack Cook does now and everyone flips over.
The music is OK with me, at least it isn't like most of the 'gangsta' crap kids listen to now dealing with shootings and dealing drugs and 'hoes' all done to a drum machine and 'sampling'.
The youngsters in this vid will be able to look back and tell their life long crewmate friends'See Dave, I told you that mustache made you look like a dork" 40 years from now.
Anyone whos locked up in the middle of an ocean doing serious life and death stuff around the clock, and can come up with this sort of stress unloader should be getting your praises not your pans-and I LOVED the backwards cat shot footage too!

I realise this is an old arguement, but......:

How are they not WARBIRDS?

They are BIRDS (aircraft) ..... that go to WAR........seems pretty clear to me.

I don't understand the ill-concieved notion that a "Military" aircraft isn't a Warbird until it has been retired from service and is being flown in "Civilian" hands.

As if to say that it only has value after serving it's intended design and purpous and is no longer needed by the military. If this is the case then this would lead one to believe that the term WARBIRD is an oxymoron because these aircraft once struck from active duty certainly don't go to WAR. CIVBIRDS or PEACEBIRDS or 401kBIRDS would be more accurate.

I think that it is a very narrow-minded point of view to think an aircraft, just because it doesn't have pistons, props, isn't 60 years old or isn't touring the airshows in inaccurate paint schemes isn't a WARBIRD.

Is a F-105 or a F/A-18 any less of an Warbird than a P-51 when you weigh them against their merits?
