Greg, I thought CAF has a MkIX, but if it's indeed a MkXIV then I'm happy to donate mine to the cause!

Ah, I remember NH749 when Keith Wickenden owned it here in the UK... as I recall it was not long out of restoration when he sadly died in a DH Devon accident.

BTBackseater, got you down for the SBD, and thanks for the cool pic. Let me know if something comes up though.

Treadigraph, I am almost positive that NH749 is indeed the current CAF Spitfire, although I can't find any reference to any Spitfire of any type on the CAF web site, so I could be wrong here.

IIRC the CAF used to have a MkIX, but it was lost in the CWH hangar fire back in the last century :(

At any rate, I will mark you down for the XIV, sorry Mudge...

cheers!

My boss is in Vegas for the weekend and I knew it would be slow at work so I got the A-26 and Helldiver together today. Now to build up a small spray booth. :P

Still working on finding small enough hinges for the Sea Fury. Hmm...Any suggestions???

Lookin' good !
I think I've figured out a way to get a C-131 (sort of) out of a Heller DC-6.
Won't be exact but close enough in size to work.
The C-46, PT-17, PT-19 and T-50 are ready for paint.
The PT-22 and BT-13 are going to take a bit of work.
They are really crude kits that are going to require carving away everything that doesn't look like what they're supposed to be.
The PT-20/22 almost has thinking about using the belt sander.

Al

those are nice clean looking builds! I was wondering when someone was going to post a photo or two...

As far as hinges go I can only suggest the craft section of your local hobby shop, if you have one; if not then I guess Michael's. I would think that there would be something suitable perhaps in the doll-house section? Other than that maybe some very small piano-type hinges in the R/C aircraft section?

I'll be going down this road myself as soon as I start the practical folds on the Swordfish...

Here's my production line so far, definitely messier than yours! The Storch is in progress, slowly, due to the complicated landing gear assembly, which I figured wouldn't hold up to any kind of handling, never mind shipping, unless it was made from paper clips.

cheers

I WISH !
No, something FAR worse, Beechnut Models.
An outfit that produced short run, low pressure plastic kits back in the mid to late '80s.
At the time they were the only kits done of some of these airplanes.
Rude, crude and all but unbuildable.
I have several of them and these are the first I've ever tried to build.
(And probably the last)

Oh jeez! The L-5 I had (and sent off) was a Beechnut. I didn't want to do it unless I really had to.

If I cannot locate or finish the model I will let you know in time but Gary may need one in both versions wings folded and wings open I would do the wings open version.

looking good Al!

I just realized that the Corsair needs to be in folded and non-folded wing formats, so I have added the folded wing F4U to the list; it is currently available.

Warbirdnerd, I've got you down for the Corsair with wings extended, is that ok?

cheers
