That looks like a screen grab from the movie God is my Co-Pilot

Shay, can you ID the biplane behind the P-40? Thanks!

If you back up one picture from the Sharksmouth you see an unknown airfield "Possibly Waco" Interesting picture in that it has AT-10s in the background. Didn't know they were at Waco. Could the pic possibly be Ellington? Anybody got ideas. You back up a couple more pics there is a close up of one AT-10 and you can almost make out the Ser #. Maybe someone with a better computer (or younger eyes) can read it, then simply go to Baugher and find out where it is.

Jack

The caption on the picture says "Roosevelt Field, NY"....is that where the movie was filmed?

Just thought is was neat to possibly see one of the original 99 AVG Tomahawks make it to the 1942 July 4th absorbtion into the 23rd FG. Never been able to find anything saying that some did survive long enough.

Chris

The caption also says that that is a PT-11D in the Background.

I was referring to the link at the top of the thread only.
They're P-40Fs from Luke Feild used in the film.

I had the privilege of watching the movie "God is My Co-Pilot" with Dennis Morgan who played Scot in the movie. It was very interesting to watch the movie and have the behind the scenes commentary at the same time.

P-40

The p-40 is not a leftover AVG bird. She is what is known as a P-40(A model)Notice the single gun wings(2) total not four. All the AVG birds were export Hawk81-a2s.Nice pics which I have not seen. Thanks for posting them.

I know shark mouths aren't too popular around here but does anyone have any more pics of the early P-40s with shark mouths that are NOT AVG?
