Very nice work indeed Matt. I wish someone would make a B-32 kit in 1:48th.

:)

That looks like a lot of work! Very nice. Can't wait to see it complete.

Looking good! I've got the kit myself, but haven't had the guts to actually start the thing. I found an Academy B-29 in a bargain bin for ten bucks (in a ziploc bag minus instructions and decals) and plan to swipe the props, engines, and other bits.

I'm already aware of the prop situation..fortunately the "bagged" B-29 is the nuke version, so it includes the Curtiss electrics. As you mentioned, the injection-molded parts in the B-32 kit are horrible..the engines appear to be B-17 R-1820s, rather than the correct R-3350s. I'll probably use the True Details wheels, and I'm still debating whether I want to try adapting the B-29 cowls to the dominator kit.

One of the things I've been trying to figure out is how to replicat the nose and tail turrets. The kit gives you the exterior, but the turretswer actually spheres, and the "back half" is clearly visible through the nose windows.

Nice, I have the same kit, but it'll end up as a Canadian Martime Command Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

I love it! Hey, how about one in RAF markings..maybe call it a "Jefferson Mk I." Or a perhaps Russian knockoff, NATO code-name "Buzzard."

I love "what if" models. A few years back a Canadian model club built a bunch of hypothetical production derivatives of the Avro Arrow, including a trans-atmospheric version carried aloft by a mother ship. There also used to be an "alternate history" of the B-49 flying wing circulating around the net.

Looking good!

How are you planning to attach the wings? I take it you've constructed spar of some sort.
